Summer is over... No more avoiding carbs, drinking apple cider vinegar, excessive amounts of cardio, and other tricks that I wouldn't advise. It is time to brace yourselves for BULKING SEASON.

Now bulking season is an interesting time. Gaining muscle and mass is an amazing thing to bring into summer 2019 or whatever summer you're going into when you read this. For those who don't know, bulking season is basically the period of time where you are increasing your caloric intake to gain more mass. The reason why people do this is to gain the mass in order to cut in the spring. Now you don't have to "bulk" only in the winter but the reason why most people do is because they don't go out as much and they are covered up in winter clothes. If you are bulking this winter you want to make sure you are doing it right and not ending up looking like a buff Santa Claus. What I have for you are a few tips to make sure that you get muscle without adding too much fat. Let's go through it.
First let us go over dirty bulking.
Dirty Bulking: While this may be the easiest method to bulking it certainly is nowhere near the most advised way by anyone who knows what they're talking about. With a Dirty Bulk, there is no tracking of your calories, macronutrients or micronutrients. You just eat and lift. On some Bro type of stuff. This is probably one of the easiest ways to get fat when trying to bulk.
Now if you read the information regarding dirty bulking, one thing that you should remember and that will be the first tip is to bulk properly.
Measure Your Caloric Intake
When bulking, it is absolutely imperative that you measure your calories. I would recommend using a calorie calculator instead of guessing. Use websites like this one:
Avoid the"See" Food Diet
If Dirty bulking was what we were doing, I'd tell you to eat whatever. Go ahead and eat that whole Domino's pizza, go eat the Five Guys and get the medium fry (which is like an XL). Eat whatever the hell you want. Fortunately we're not dirty bulking so what we are not going to do is that. Yes you need to eat more, but not garbage. Not the food that you stopped eating to cut. My best suggestion is to shop on the outside of the grocery store. That is where your fruits, vegetables, and lean meats are located. Eat healthy, but eat more. I'd suggest an increase of 200 calories. Don't skip out on the fats and carbohydrates. It has been drilled in everyone's head to of course take in protein, but don't skip out on the other macros.
Work Out For MeÂ
When it comes to your workout regiment, most people would think to not do cardio. Hooray! Doing cardio is over!

Yes guys. We're doing cardio all year. Why you shouldn't be doing cardio every day, 2-3 times a week for 20 minutes is a great amount to do. A great way to get your cardio in is by doing an interval workout. Sprinting for 1 minute then jogging for 2 minutes until 20 minutes is a lot more fun than just jogging. For weightlifting you should already know we lift heavy in these streets. Follow a program that progresses you to get stronger as well as gain mass. Make sure you check out our new programs coming out on the website.
Recovery

As much as you're told to grind and work hard, part of working hard is to recover from the beating you put on your body every day. This includes getting sleep, the food, supplements, and water you intake. Your body is like a machine (I'm sure you never heard that line before), so you need to treat it like that by feeding it the good stuff and recharging the batteries. If you want that Super Saiyan type of bulk it counts on it.
